European Scientology Communities Promote Civic Responsibility

Churches and missions of Scientology throughout Europe are continuing various neighbourhood-level social betterment initiatives connected to education, prevention and practical service. As reported in Scientology Communities Across Europe Highlight Civic Responsibility and EU Values, these activities include public awareness work on the dangers of drugs, initiatives that make human rights principles more accessible, and community ethics activities inspired by The Way to Happiness. Together, these programmes reflect a constructive approach to public service within Europe’s pluralistic societies.

The article also highlights the Church’s Europe’s Values, Your Rights campaign, which presents key European principles in plain language, including respect for dignity, freedom of conscience and fundamental rights. Ivan Arjona, representative of the Church of Scientology to the EU, OSCE, Council of Europe and UN, said that European values are strengthened when citizens take responsibility for their communities. Inspired by the work of Scientology founder L. Ron Hubbard, these initiatives are presented as voluntary contributions to the common good across Europe. news eugene
